Sheryl Sandberg, one of Silicon Valley's most prominent executives helping to-

establish Facebook as a global tech juggernaut,

is set to step down as chief operating officer of Facebook's parent company Meta,

Sheryl Sandberg said on Facebook on Wednesday. Made a surprise announcement by posting a post.

She posted "When I took this job in 2008, I expected to be in this role for 5 years.

After 14 years it's time for me to write the next chapter of my life" She further wrote in the post

"Me Not entirely sure what the future will bring—I've learned that there is never any"

According to Meta Company, Sherin Sandberg will remain on Meta Company's board of directors when Sherrill Sandberg-

leaves the role of Chief Operating Officer, with Xavier Olivan, a multiple company executive, now taking over as Chief Operating Officer.
