Six individuals were killed and around 24 injured as gunfire and bedlam broke a Fourth of July march
in this prosperous Chicago suburb, and a manhunt was in progress for the executioner.
The shooter - portrayed by specialists as a white male with dull hair, 18 to 20 years of age - was currently at large
and occupants were cautioned to protect set up. Video from the scene shows scores of individuals
getting as far away as possible as music keeps on playing minutes after the occasion started at 10 a.m.
"Our people group was threatened by a demonstration of viciousness that has deeply
impacted us," Mayor Nancy Rotering said at a news gathering. "On a day when we met up to
commend local area and opportunity, we are rather grieving the sad death toll."
