American young person Coco Gauff is out of Wimbledon in the third round after a 6-7 (4), 6-2, 6-1 misfortune
Saturday to Amanda Anisimova on Center Court.
The 18-year-old Gauff was the French Open next in line
and was cultivated eleventh at the All England Club.
The twentieth cultivated Anisimova has now
arrived at the fourth round in three straight Grand Slam competitions.
"It was my most memorable time
playing on Center Court," Anisimova said. "It's the most exceptional day of my vocation."
Anisimova began the match by losing the initial three games. She then lost the sudden death
round in spite of taking a 4-1 lead.
"I think the most terrible thing for a tennis player is to lose 7-6 in the
primary set,'' Anisimova said. "I had a similar involvement with French Open. I think as a matter of fact it means quite a bit to simply return and give all that I have.''
